Dr Lauren Buchan is an international medical graduate from South Africa, who is joining the team at Brecken. She specialised as a Family Physician at the University of Stellenbosch in 2019, winning the award for top graduate in her country. For the past 5 years, she has worked as a consultant both in private and public sectors with a broad scope of practice. She has a special interest in aged care, mental health, woman’s health and chronic disease management.
Lauren is married with 2 young girls, and they have relocated to Margaret River.
Dr Lauren Buchan’s qualifications include:
1) Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery MBBCh.
2) Diploma of anaesthetics
3) Fellowship of the College of Family Physicians (South Africa)
4) Mmed, Family Medicine
